Step 1. For a sleek blowdry, start with clean, towel-dried hair and apply a heat-protectant like our Mermade Mist.
Step 2. Section hair with our Grip Clips. Taking one section at a time, starting from the bottom layer, choose the best heat setting for your hair.
Low – low heat 60°C, high speed 25000RPM
Medium - medium heat 95°C, medium speed 16400RPM
High – high heat 115°C, high speed 25000RPM
Step 3. Place the oval brush near the root and brush away from the head while gently rotating. This will create professional like volume. Repeat for all layers and sections of hair. For more curve, wrap the hair around the barrel and hold for a few seconds.
Step 4. Finish with a shot of hair spray.
Tip: You can use the blow-dry brush on dry hair to revive your mane or give it some bounce.
Be careful not to touch the scalp with the tool. Make sure to clean out bristles and wipe down the tool after use to avoid product build up.

Which heat protectant should I use?
You can use both our Mermade Mist or Primer on wet or dry hair as a heat protectant when styling your hair! The difference is:
- the Primer has the added benefit of adding volume & speeding up your blowout while also helping to detangle & repair. So it's ideal for wet hair use.
- the Mermade Mist works more like a liquid hairspray. It's great to use on dry hair before you wave or curl to enhance your waves & curls so they last for days + add shine. So it's ideal for dry hair use.

Just buy this, there’s honestly no downside to it! When used correctly - it comes with instructions which is super handy - it absolutely GIVES. I have naturally very thick strands of thick, curly hair and getting through it with a blow dryer and a brush and not needing to take a snack break in between is just not possible. I bought this after seeing reviews and it did not disappoint. Doing my hair used to be a 2 day job, washing it one day and styling it the next, or literally 2 + hours to look even SEMI decent. No. More. I love that the barrel of this brush is oval so allows for that straightening of the lengths whilst curling the ends with the side of the barrel. I didn’t have to use the highest setting and got through my hair from towel dried to dry and styled in 25-30. Starting under the hair you’ll get more volume, but brushing from above you can get a beautiful more flat result. There are so many ways to use this one tool I could not reccomend it more, especially for thick long hair. No snagging, no over heating, no sore arms half way through. It’s a yes from me !
