Step 1: 
Before you turn the tool on, brush through dry hair using the Everyday Brush. This helps detangle, smooth, and prep your hair for styling.

Clip up your hair in sections using the Grip Clips so you're working with small, manageable pieces. It’s easier this way, and gives you more control.

Slip on your Heat-Protectant Glove on your styling hand. It’ll help keep your fingers safe while you master the spin.

Now, plug in your Mermade Spin and press the ON/OFF button at the base to turn it on. Use the ‘+’ and ‘–’ buttons to adjust the heat.

• Fine or damaged hair? Start low and gentle.
• Thick or coarse hair? You’ll likely need more heat for those curls to hold.

Step 2: 
Take a small section of hair (one that feels comfy to manage), and place it into the clamp near the ends.

Press ‘L’ to curl left, or ‘R’ to curl right, this tells the barrel which direction to spin. Hold the button to rotate the barrel.

Make sure to let go of the button before the barrel gets too close to your scalp or else the barrel will keep spinning if you keep holding it.

Want more control? You can skip the spin and wrap hair manually, like a classic curling wand. 

Press the ‘Set’ button when you’re ready to reset the clamp and bring the barrel back to its starting point. Repeat around your head.

Step 3:
Hold the hair in place for 3-10 seconds, depending on how defined you want your curls.

• Less time = soft and subtle
• More time = bold and bouncy

Then, gently unwrap or release the clamp to let the curl drop. Continue section by section. For the most natural look, switch curl direction on each side of your head.

Step 4: 
Let your curls cool to set the shape. Then grab your Everyday Brush and gently brush through for soft, dreamy waves. If you're after a more defined look, leave the curls as they are. 

Once you're done, turn off the Mermade Spin and let it cool down completely before putting it away.

Style Tip: Prep your hair with a heat protectant every time you use heat on your hair. For extra volume and control, use a styling mousse or root spray.
